School of Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering is a professional career linked directly to the development of society, through the management of its technology for the projection and construction of material infrastructure, in support of the production and well-being of man, in accordance with the environment and available resources. It serves the growth of the urban and rural environment, through the conditioning of the geographic and geological environment, with the design and technology in the construction of: roads, bridges, tunnels, airports, housing, etc … It serves agriculture through projects in irrigation and rational use of water resources with infrastructure works: canals, reservoirs, dams, etc. In energy, water management works provide energy resources, through: Hydroelectric Power Plants, treatment plants, etc. In short, Civil Engineering applies the knowledge of the physical sciences with the help of mathematical sciences for the projection of Infrastructure and with the help of technology makes feasible the concretization of these works.

Objectives

Design, direct and supervise: Civil works: Houses, buildings, bridges, etc Agricultural works: irrigation canals, dams, aqueducts, etc. Works of road infrastructure: streets, roads, airport, etc. Works for the conservation of the environment, preservation and mitigation of disasters.
